Are you over the Age of 18?
Various systems of axioms, or basic rules and assumptions, have been formulated as a basis for measurement theory. Which system would you prefer I use to answer this question?
Does offensive language offend you?
Not really, because I deploy various measures of defensive language. My language-fu is invincible!

What are your tastes in Japanese Anime?
I'm a dub-o'-phile that prefers Slice-o'-life, Comedy, Drama, Sci-fi(*), Horror, Fantasy, Romance, or grown-up safe kid shows.

I like anime that features mostly hand drawn artwork -- leave CGI to the blue screen live action movies.
Share with everyone the first anime that you've seen.
The very first anime I watched was Undersea Boy Marine (a.k.a. Kaitei Shōnen Marin) during it's initial run in the United States. However the show I attribute to making me aware of Japanese Animation as an original style of story telling would be "Robot Carnival."

Think on this real-life paradox [non-anime]

We've seen variations of this plot carried out anime and mainstream science fiction shows, but it blew my mind when I saw it being seriously discussed.

From Slashdot:

Dennis Overbye from the NY Times is reporting on a "crazy" theory being worked up by a pair of "otherwise distinguished physicists" regarding the Large Hadron Collider's… Continue

Evangelion 1.0: You are (not) alone [in the theater]

Parallel Origami's adventure watching anime on the silver screen, I went out and saw Evangelion 1.0: You are (not) alone at the Mall of America this evening.

Like Origami with Eureka 7, I've seen this franchise before, so came in with a bump of direction. Also like Eureka 7, Evagelion is one of those series where my lev… Continue

Yo ho-ho, a pirates life.

So I just read a blog post via the anime sub-reddit that pointed out that there's a new warning message/skit showing up at the beginning of episodes for some anime series.

Really? Target?

I needed to come up with a replacement for my Figure 17 discs, so I decided to have a discussion with my close buddy froogle.com.

Me: Duuuude, how's it goin?
Froogle: Ya know -- another day.
Me: Yeah, yeah, I hear ya. How's GMail?
Froogle: She had a cold a couple weeks ago, but she's doing good now. I'll tell her you said hi.
Me: Excellent, glad s… Continue

This popped up on Reddit in timely fashion: The ASUS O!Play HD Media Player at Newegg. Comes with a HDMI cable and free shipping at the time of this posting. $99 bucks for a HD media player that does MPEG1/2/4, H.264, VC-1, and RM/RMVB isn't bad...
