My Daughter tends to be the holder of the manga grail in our household. Anything that I buy will inevitably end up in her room. Never to be seen again. So I make sure to read it first.
dunno bout you, but i read a shitload of manga. and sometimes i get to the good stuff that the anime version doesn't. welcome and feel free to share.

Orion1 said… - U know, a lot of series that I used to love back in the day just aren't as good as they were. That's just the way it is I guess. The art form has evolved. However there are still some classics like Nausicaa and the The Wings of Honneamise that are still amazing even with today's standards. Of course all of the nostalgia that surrounds so many other series also makes them better then they actual are probably. We do have an Oldschool group here too. I'm glad to here that you are able to share your passion with your kids and sorry to hear that your significant other isn't as thrilled about it.
