I just finished the first episode...WHAT!?! I feel like I'm high on something when watching this. Odd but really funny. I'll see episode two tomorrow.
I loved Story of Saiunkoku! Bishies, romance, drama....it had it all. I think you should rent it via NF first. But I have a feeling you'll probably end up adding it to your collection someday.

Angela said… - Thanks for the encouraging words. I really do need to look on the bright side here; it's so easy to lose that perspective sometimes. Having said that, haha, I sent Lucky Star back to NF....I know so sad. I just couldn't get myself in the mood for something funny and light. I'll have to get back to it at a later date. But it was weird cause I sent it back and went into my queue to move stuff around, and they told me like half my anime volumes were being moved to the saved section cause they were unavailable. Stuff like Kanon, Le Chevalier de Eon, even the rest of my Fruits Basket (which yes...I'm still waiting to see) was moved. So I was like wtf....I deleted them all, and then re-added them, and they went back in just fine. Just Long Waits...not unavailable. I was like, "Is NF cutting down on how much anime they're going to carry?" God, that would be scary....I'd have to switch providers. So I'm just curious if you've had a similar problem or is it just MN maybe?? Anyway...it was weird. I think I ended up moving Claymore to the top of the list. Have you seen that one yet? I'm hoping it's dramatic and action packed. I have a feeling that some major violence would be a great pick me up right now, lol......is that weird?

I love Mr. Dark and Mysterious. From Naruto, I think....haven't watched that one either.

- Awesome! I'm definitely going to have to buy her album. I love the mood her music gives off, it's really great for writing. If I can ever find time to write that is. I think I'm going to have to start like staying up extra late or something to get back to the things that I love. I'm really getting annoyed with falling so far behind. I think the only show I've managed to finish from the new season so far is K-ON! Very cute btw...and now I just really feel like I'm out of the loop. I need something to get me back in the game. School can't start fast enough, lol. So anyways, I can't even dish with you 'cause I haven't been watching anything. Seriously I think I need to lock myself in a closet and have a mental breakdown. MENTAL BREAKDOWN!
I'm glad your 4th went good. BBQ'ing is lots of fun, ain't it. And shopping to boot! You sure made the best of it. We went down to a carnival, played some bingo, did some grilling and drinking and fireworks watching. It's a great place to take the kids but all the rides and cotton candy and stuff really adds up. It's amazing how much money you can spend when you're having fun. But at least it's over, the family's gone and I can try to get back to a semi-normal routine. I have my disc of Emma and two discs of Lucky Star. I'm going to try to start those this week. I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Lucky Star too much...hopefully I can find something funny in it. I could use a good laugh. Anyways, I'm going to go and say hello to the new folks that joined around here. Looks like there's been quite a few. Awesome!!

Led said… - I hope to see a third season of Vampire Knight, but I think the second season ends right where the latest volume of the manga is now in Japan. So my guess is we will have to wait and see if the manga keeps going before we get more Anime so they can have more source material for the show.......but I REALLY want more of the Anime and Manga either way.

I think you're right about the missing disks being from the older series.

It's mostly an inconvenience because it's tricky to schedule the viewings. The disks will pop in and out of availability and a lot of them stay on "short wait" for 2 months. Thank goodness for streaming video.
