Akio Ôtsuka narrates this hilarious mockumentary that pokes gentle fun at the conventions of anime and its legions of obsessive fans.

019- We Are the Strange

Using a technique he calls "str8nime," a blend of eight-bit video graphics and Japanese anime, filmmaker M. dot Strange animates a fantasy about good vs. evil in which Blue, a downtrodden young woman, becomes fast friends with Emmm. On a quest for ice cream, they soon discover that monsters have taken over the city. Engulfed by evil, Blue and Emmm struggle to survive as an uncanny hero named Rain arrives to save them.

020- City of Rott

Trapped in a city that's overrun with the walking dead, an elderly man named Fred clings to the one thing he can use as a weapon: his walker. But is he really any match for an army of zombies who have a hankering for human flesh? The fact that this innovative zombie flick is animated doesn't mean it skimps on gore. On the contrary, it can do things with blood that live-action zombie flicks can't even touch.

The unfortunate thing is that apparently people are paying these prices or they would have come down by now. I really wanted to buy this series but unless I find it in a thrift store or something it looks like it's out of my reach.

Woah! A $146 for the whole series is waaaaay too much for me. I'll probably wait it out and then buy it. I can't justify that price. I agree with the $45 for part one but no way am I paying $100.

Ok so the burning question that I have for all the big Blood+ fans is.... Are the first 25 episodes of the 50 episode series worth $99? Amazon and Sony seems to think so, I seem to think they are out to lunch and did not even decide to compare wha...

I will have to agree with Orion with this one. I watched it... it was kinda depressing. Premise was interesting but they really did not do anything with it. It felt like one long introduction.

I wasn't that impressed with that series. Darkness description fits right up until the end. I don't remember the end of the world/ repopulate thing, I was pretty board by the end of this series though. I thought they ended up going back to earth i...

Hmmm... that might be it. The description from TheDarkness fits. Kinda reminiscent of "Lawrence of Arabia" meets "Dune" meets "Quantum Leap".

What are your tastes in Japanese Anime?
luv me some yaoi, vampires, anything with a samurai/ninja kickin ass and cuttin bitches up, mecha, hentai, and supernatural/magic type stuffz. prefer something with a good story, but will take a shitty story if there's breathtaking animation, great action or killer sex. The absolute worst thing in an anime is the unholy trinity: bad story with unlikeable characters who don't do a goddamn thing, fucked up animation, and pisspore voice actors all in the same series. All time fav anime is Hellsing. The only thing that would have made Hellsing better would have been if Alucard fucked the everlivin shit outta Luke Valentine before he offed him. yeah, I'm that far gone o.O
Share with everyone the first anime that you've seen.
Speed Racer back in the day....ima geezer lol
