Final Fantasy: Last Order, Final Fantasy VII:Advent Children...inspired from Final Fantasy VII.
and....
Not too sure which came first, the .//Hack games or the .//Hack Anime

I'm sure there's more, but I'm just waking up and my brain had to overwork to come up with those, haha.

IIRC, they were simultaneous. The .hack project included the PS2 game, .hack//INFECTION and the anime series .hack//SIGN.

Xenosaga anime inspired from game series

Devil May Cry anime inspired from game series (I own both the anime and the game....I'm still trying to figure out how I forgot to mention it in my initial post.)

Gungrave, the anime, came from Gungrave, the game. in fact, there are two Gungrave games.

Just heard that Tales of Vesperia is coming to anime. I'm playing the game right now, and from what I understand the anime will be a prequel of sorts to the events that transpired in the game.

Just finished off Sengoku Basara. It's a play off of the Devil Kings video game. It primarily deals with feudal Japanese history. It wasn't anything spectacular and neither was the game really. I was glad to see more of Reaper (aka Mitsuhide Akechi) in the anime as he had a very small, npc part in the game itself but that really wasn't enough to save it for me.

A far cry from the Mitsuhide found in the Samurai Warriors game series, and though I'm not sure which representation I like better, I do know that Koei's SW is by far the better game when it comes to role playing in feudal Japan. If only they'd make an anime based from that one instead...

Well I'm not sure if you will be happy about this or not but it looks like Sengoku Basera will be released by FUNimation. I don't think that it's one of FUNimations strongest picks. Actually I'm curious whether or not it will make them any money.

Haha, yeah I think it's a bad business move on their part. I don't know though, maybe they got better results with a younger demographic. I don't really understand it, cause even the game was met with lukewarm results. It will be interesting to see if they reap any profits...
