I'm something of a dedicated gamer. I wouldn't go so far as to call myself hardcore. I own a PS2, a PS3, a PSP, an Xbox 360, a Nintendo DS, and an N64 which I'm holding on to for Mario Kart and Mario Party purposes. I'm definitely an RPG player mostly. I rarely play Shooters or sports-oriented games, tho I don't mind Hot Shots Golf. So I guess, I can just go down a quick list of what I've played.

RPG's: Final Fantasy series, Xenosaga Series, Valkyrie Profile series, Legend of Dragoon, Star Ocean, Lunar: the Silver Star Story, Grandia III, Suikkoden IV, Tales of Destiny, Jean D'Arc, Infinite Undiscovery, Tears of Blood, Kingdom Hearts, Enchanted Arms

Action/Adventure: Devil May Cry series, Heavenly Sword, Assassin's Creed, Drake's Fortune, Dirge of Cerberus (FF...i know), Genji & Genji: Days of the Blade, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, Ninja Gaiden, Folklore

Hack-n-Slash: Samurai Warriors 1 & 2, Dynasty Warriors 3, 4, 5, & 6, Warriors Orochi, Bladestorm

VS fighting: Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Killer Instinct, Samurai Showdown

Strategy: Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Nobunaga's Ambition, Kessen II

Random stuff: Professor Layton and the Curious Village, Princess Debut, Duck a muck, Need for Speed: Carbon, Hot Shots Golf, Guitar Hero 3

Well that's all I think of off the top of my head.....

That's awesome that you all got together and had a game night. I wish I new more gamers around here to do that. Mostly it's just my sister and her boyfriend that come over and play guitar hero with my husband and I cause they don't really play anything else. It's fun tho, cause both of us girls are better at it than they are so we revel in the chance to gloat. I'm only 30 and still love gaming....I hope I'm still mashing buttons when I'm 51!!!

I'm just starting to take an interest in the gaming world. The only game console I have is a Wii and I use it more for the Wii fit function. I recently downloaded a ten day free trial of World of Warcraft and it seems interesting but not enought for me to become truly dedicated. Do you guys recommend anything to download on my laptop?

I've never really been much of an MMORG (Massive Multi-player Online Role-playing Game) player. There's a lot more socializing involved in getting parties together to take down some overwhelming boss. It's not really my thing 'cause it's like a choose your own adventure rather than having any sort of linear story. Never appealed to me. The only games I've downloaded from the net are puzzle/strategy style games. Bookworm, Bejeweled, Mahjong and stuff like that. They can be pretty fun and addictive, not to mention mentally stimulating. But other MMORG's besides Warcraft that I know of which seem to be popular are War Hammer, Shayia (which looks the most interesting to me...fight for the goddess of light or darkness) and Gaia. I've never played any of these personally, but I hear them mentioned quite a bit around the net and in gamer magazines.

wow. (literally) do not venture into the encompassing abyss! my bf (soon to be x) has played that shit for 5 years, actually it might be 6-- he took like a summer off once! that's it-- he got all of our friends to play & now that's all they do--

i've played the stand-alone strategy game-- & it's pretty fun if you like norse mythology-- as far as wow mmo, i never could get into something that didn't have an end-- & war hammer looks better anyway, so if i did play online (which is too addictive to start), then it would be that ... or phantasy star ♥

i've owned...
Atari 2600
Commodore 64
NES
SNES

currently own...
PS1
PS2
Xbox
Gameboy Advance SP

i mostly play RPGs, though i'll occasionally play a first person adventure game or a sim game or a racing game.

my list of RPGs (role playing game) is too long to enumerate, but my favorite ever is Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for the Xbox. it is the most like a pen and paper RPG that i've played thus far. totally immersive. i've been known to call into work sick because i stayed up all night after buying a new rpg. i have learned to start on friday nights after work so that i have a full weekend to sink into the fantasy world... oh.. i guess i should mention i prefer fantasy RPGs.

i'm currently playing Dragon Quest VIII for the PS2. it's one of the better rpgs i've played. next up will be .hack//INFECTION.

Favorite games of all time... (that i can remember)
Metroid
Super Metroid
Castlevania... all of them.
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Fable
Dragon Quest VIII
Jade Empire
Civilization (all of them)
Diablo

i'm dying to play Elder Scrolls IV, but my anime budget won't allow me to buy an Xbox 360 or an upgrade to my computer.

Random would be the only way to describe me. I will play almost anything. I lean towards either RPG or Horror/Survival but I will play almost anything. I am not big on sports games but one comes along now and again I can really get down with like Olympics. I am not a huge race fan but I will play Burn Out until my thumbs bleed. Almost every genre I can name at least one game out of that I truly liked if not loved.

I currently have up and running 360 and Wii, my PS2 finally died. I have though all the Nintendos on hand and the gameboys to match, both a PS1 and PS2 dead as it is, and an Xbox, oh and an Atari. I don't know what happened to any of my Sega (think my biological bro took them) I had all but the Saturn, even the 64 adapter thing and yes a dreamcast, oh and I can't think of the name but I had the Sega handheld. I am finally at least fairly interested in the PSP although having Gameboys spoils you on battery life, and I admit that turned me off on one forever. I still don't know that PS3 would interest me if they gave me one for free, yeah I would use it but honestly I can get almost any of its games for my 360, and I can't justify (if I had the money) to pay for one just to play Little Big Planet.

Blassreiter DVD part 1

CG animation highlights this story of a special task force who must deal with corpses turned into rampaging monsters in this recent effort from Gonzo. Though flawed, particularly grim, and certainly not innovative, it does deliver a fair amount of entertainment value and some occasionally very solid storytelling.
