Subgenres include; steampunk: cyberpunk set in the early industrial age and biopunk: cyberpunk themes centered around biotechnology.

Bought Ghost in the Shell from bargain bin at Hollywood video a couple years ago--really liked it--also watched the anime prequel to the Matrix and liked it. Loved the original Matrix of course--but I've been totally pissed off that they fucked it all up with two and three!! LOL
