these lines are really what clinched the greatness of Escaflowne for me. this is the heart of the folly of social codependency, something that i've lived with before and battled for a long time to overcome. externalizing the responsibility for your actions makes it impossible to ever grow and overcome ones weaknesses. it is only through owning ones choices and their consequences that one ever truly becomes free. i'll get off my soapbox now.
